One of the things we really enjoy about colouring hair at The Colour Works is seeing the reaction when a client looks at their hair and feels the difference.

Clients are often surprised by how good their hair looks and, just as importantly, how soft and fresh it feels after a colour appointment.

We put a lot of that down to the way we approach colour. Julie and Grace take time to understand your hair, what you want to achieve and what your hair needs. They use quality products and take care with how those products are applied, getting the best possible result while looking after the condition and texture of your hair.

The result isn’t just about the colour. It’s about how your hair looks, feels and moves when you leave the salon.

Your Hair, Our Approach

Every salon has its own way of working, and that’s something we think is important to be open about.

You may have had your hair coloured a certain way before, using particular products or techniques, and that’s absolutely fine. But rather than simply trying to recreate another stylist’s process, we look at your hair for ourselves and decide what we feel will give you the best result.

Your hair’s condition, texture, previous colour and what you’re hoping to achieve all play a part in that decision.

Sometimes that means doing things differently from what you’ve had before. We’ll explain what we think will work and why, and we’ll always be honest if we feel something isn’t going to give you the result you’re looking for.

A Personal Approach to Hair Colour

Whether you’re looking for highlights, balayage, lowlights, a colour refresh or something completely different, we’ll talk through what you have in mind before deciding on the best approach.

We don’t believe in treating every head of hair in exactly the same way. Good colour is about understanding the hair in front of you and knowing how to work with it.

We’re also happy to discuss colour corrections and more complicated colour changes. Sometimes the best result comes from taking things slowly and making sure we look after the hair along the way.
