Balayage That Suits You

There isn’t one balayage that suits everyone.

Your natural hair colour, existing colour, hair texture, length and the way you normally wear your hair all make a difference. Your face shape can also influence where lighter pieces are placed and how the colour works around your face.

You may have seen a balayage you love in a photograph, and that’s a great starting point. We’ll talk about what you like about it and then look at how we can achieve a similar feel with your own hair.

Sometimes that means doing things a little differently from the photograph. The aim isn’t to copy someone else’s hair exactly — it’s to create something that works for you.

One of the things people like about balayage is the softer way it grows out. Because the colour is blended rather than creating a strong line at the roots, it can be easier to maintain than some other colouring techniques.

How often you’ll need to come back will depend on the colour you choose and how you want to maintain it. Some clients prefer a very natural look that can be left for longer, while others like to keep their balayage brighter and fresher with regular toning or colour appointments.
